The Cypress on the Sauce Labs Cloud beta launches today!

This means that teams that use Cypress for test automation can use the Sauce Cloud, to run tests at scale - in parallel, using an existing account.

This release is an update to the Sauce Testrunner Toolkit and provides the flexibility to run Cypress tests locally in pre-configured Docker images, or at scale in your CI/CD pipeline on Sauce Labs Cloud in pre-configured VMs. Getting started is easy, and no matter how you test, you can access test assets and insights on the Sauce Cloud.

Happy New Year!

Sauce Labs has added a new field called "Description" in app settings under Live Testing > Mobile-App > Sauce Storage > App Settings

  • In the app versions table, when you hover over the empty description field,  you can see a pencil icon that indicates you can edit this description in the row
  • Once you click inline, you will see a textbox where you can start typing your description
  • This is useful when you want to make notes about each app version such as labels and comments for your team

Note: this new description field is limited to 255 characters
