With the latest browser update from Sauce Labs, users can now run automated and manual tests on Firefox 56 across Windows and Mac OS resolutions. Firefox 56 defaults to Selenium version 3.4.0 using geckodriver 0.18.0. Firefox 56 can also support older versions of Selenium.
The desired capabilities to use for the latest Firefox version along with the OS environment are -
DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.firefox();
To specify a Selenium version please use the following desired capabilities -
Platform configurator will be updated shortly with the latest desired capabilities. Additionally, users who are interested in jumping on the latest browsers as soon as they are released should utilize "version":"latest" in their desired capabilities (more information on this feature can be found on our blog)
Firefox 56 is now available in the following Windows and Mac OS configurations
Mac OS Sierra (10.12)
Mac OS El Capitan (10.11)
Mac OS Mavericks (10.9)
