You can now use HTTPS in your Selenium and Appium scripts to communicate with the Sauce Labs browser cloud. All of our sample scripts in the Sauce Labs Sample Scripts and Sauce Labs Sample Framework Scripts GitHub repos have been updated to use HTTPS. You should update your own testing scripts as well to have the highest level of security for your communications with the Sauce Labs browser cloud. The exception is testing scripts that have been written in Python. The Selenium client bindings for Python do not support HTTPS. This is a known issue, which is being tracked in the Selenium issue tracker if you want more information, or to contribute to resolving this issue.
