With the latest browser update from Sauce Labs, users can now run automated and manual tests on Firefox 57 across Windows and Mac OS resolutions. Sauce Labs support for Firefox 57 defaults to Selenium version 3.4.0 using geckodriver 0.19.1. Firefox 57 can also support older versions of Selenium.

The desired capabilities to use for the latest Firefox version along are -  

DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.firefox();
caps.setCapability("version", "57.0");

To specify a Selenium version please use the following desired capabilities -

DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.firefox();

caps.setCapability("version", "57.0");

caps.setCapability("seleniumVersion", "3.3.1");

Platform configurator has been updated with the latest desired capabilities. Additionally, users who are interested in jumping on the latest browsers as soon as they are released should utilize "version":"latest" in their desired capabilities (more information on this feature can be found on our blog)

Firefox 57 is now available in the following Windows and Mac OS configurations

  • Windows 10

  • Windows 8.1

  • Windows 8

  • Windows 7

  • Mac OS Sierra (10.12)

  • Mac OS El Capitan (10.11)

  • Mac OS Mavericks  (10.9)
