Hi Sauce users,

With the latest update from Sauce Labs, users will be able to run manual and automated test on Safari 10.1 in Mac OS 10.12. Platform configurator has been updated with the latest changes.

Details  -


Safari 10.0 will continue to be available for testing in Mac OS 10.11

Desired caps to use for testing on Safari 10.0

DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.safari();

caps.setCapability("platform", "OS X 10.11");

caps.setCapability("version", "10");


OR specify the minor version


DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.safari();

caps.setCapability("platform", "OS X 10.11");

caps.setCapability("version", "10.0");


Safari 10.1 will ONLY be available in Mac OS 10.12

Desired caps to use -

DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.safari();

caps.setCapability("platform", "macOS 10.12");

caps.setCapability("version", "10");


OR specify the minor version


DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.safari();

Mac OS 10.12 will ONLY support Safari 10.1

Hi  -

With the latest browser update from Sauce Labs, users can now run automated and manual tests on Chrome 62 across all Windows and Mac OS configurations.

 

The desired capabilities to use for the latest Chrome version -  

DesiredCapabilities caps = DesiredCapabilities.chrome();
caps.setCapability("version", "62.0");

 

Platform configurator has been updated with the latest desired capabilities. Additionally, users who are interested in jumping on the latest browsers as soon as they are released should utilize "version":"latest" in their desired capabilities (more information on this feature can be found on our blog)

 

Chrome 62 is now available in the following Windows and Mac OS configurations

  • Windows 10

  • Windows 8.1

  • Windows 8

  • Windows 7

  • Mac OS Sierra (10.12)

  • Mac OS El Capitan (10.11)

  • Mac OS Yosemite (10.10)

  • Mac OS Mavericks  (10.9)
